Chicago Bulls vs Charlotte Hornets: Lineups, preview & prediction 2/27/18

Charlotte (27-33) have not won five in a row since a seven-game run from March 1-12, 2016, and their current surge has them within four games of the Miami Heat for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Hornets improved to 3-0 since the All-Star break after cruising past Detroit 114-98 on Sunday. Kemba Walker and Dwight Howard scored 17 points apiece to pace seven players in double figures as Charlotte turned 17 Pistons turnovers into 21 points and hit 16 of 35 from 3-point range.

Chicago (20-40) have dropped four straight and 12 of 14 after being overrun 104-87 at Brooklyn on Monday night. Kris Dunn scored 23 points and rookie Lauri Markkanen added 19 for the Bulls, who continued fielding different rotations as Zach LaVine, Jerian Grant and Brook Lopez sat out.

The Bulls have lost seven in a row on the road, giving up 116.3 points per game in those defeats as opponents have averaged 13.4 3-pointers while shooting 38.8 percent from beyond the arc. One of their seven road wins, however, came in a 119-111 overtime win at Charlotte on December 8.
