Atlanta Hawks vs Detroit Pistons: Lineups, preview & prediction 2/14/18

The bounce from acquiring Blake Griffin appears to be fading for the Pistons (27-29), who have dropped three in a row after winning their first five games since making the deal. Detroit were on the wrong end of a 118-103 scoreline in losing to New Orleans on Monday night.

Blake Griffin scored 22 points and Andre Drummond added 13 and 21 rebounds for the Pistons, who were the latest team unable to stop Anthony Davis as his rampage continued with 38 points and ten rebounds. Offensively, Detroit had issues on the perimeter as they made just nine of 35 from 3-point range, with both Griffin and new acquisition Jameer Nelson each going one for six.

Atlanta, who edged Detroit 118-115 at home Sunday, are playing their third game in four nights after a 97-92 loss at Milwaukee on Tuesday night. Dennis Schroder scored 18 points and Kent Bazemore added 17 for the Hawks (18-40), who have dropped 14 of 16 on the road.

The Hawks dug themselves out of a 13-point hole in the fourth quarter, but an 8-0 run by the Bucks in an 87-second span late in the contest was too much to overcome. Atlanta are trying to split the season series with Detroit after losing the first two games between the teams this season by a combined 21 points.
