2022 is unlikely to be the year that the 32-year-old makes his third-round Wimbledon debut, given the calibre of his opponent. Berankis is currently ranked No.106 in the world but achieved a peak ranking of World No.50.

Berankis raised eyebrows in the first round of this year's Wimbledon Men's Singles Championship, booking his place in the second round with a straight-sets victory over one-time Wimbledon semi-finalist Sam Querrey.
