When are the 2022/23 Vanarama National League fixtures released?


The National League retains its status as one of the most competitive divisions in England and we will soon see the 2022/23 National League fixtures released.

Stockport County fended off a late-season charge from Hollywood-backed Wrexham AFC to claim the National League title in 2021/22.

Grimsby Town did things the hard way, fighting through the early rounds of the playoffs to take an extra-time Play-Off Final victory against Solihull Moors at the London Stadium.

At the other end, Dover Athletic's miserable season saw them relegated early and they were joined in the relegation zone by Weymouth, King's Lynn Town and Aldershot Town.

2022/23 National League Fixture Release Date

We now have a date for the 2022/23 National League fixtures release day. The entire season's schedule will be revealed on Wednesday, July 6th, meaning each team will find out their opening day and final day matchups on this date.

The format for the 2022/23 remains the same with one team gaining automatic promotion, four teams being condemned to relegation and six teams battling for the final promotion spot via the playoffs.

2022/23 National League Key Dates

The 2022/23 National League season will run unaffected by the 2022 Qatar World Cup and will therefore have a more regular schedule than the Premier League and Championship.

The Vanarama National League, along with the Vanarama National League North and South will kick off on Saturday, August 6th.

The final day of the regular season is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th, 2023.

The National League Play-Offs will then follow, starting on Tuesday, May 2nd. They will wrap up with the Promotion Final at the London Stadium on Saturday, May 13th.
