Spurs Transfer News and Rumours

Spurs fans should be braced for a busy 2022 summer transfer window with Antonio Conte set to be heavily backed as the club look to push on from last season's fourth-place finish.

Inter's Ivan Perisic and Southampton's Fraser Forster were early additions for the North London club with a host of new arrivals, particularly from Serie A, expected to follow.

Here are all the latest transfer stories, rumours and confirmed deals related to Spurs.

LATEST NEWS - Spence set for Spurs

The Middlesbrough right-back is favouring a move to North London this summer with Spurs likely to be successful in their pursuit of the 21-year-old. The England youth international has been subject to plenty of interest this summer following his breakthrough campaign on loan with Nottingham Forest.

The Reds have been keen to secure Spence's services on a permanent basis upon their long-awaited Premier League return, but the wing-back would prefer to join Antonio Conte's project in London.

Rumoured Arrivals

Yves Bissouma

Spurs have reportedly beaten rivals Arsenal to the signing of dynamic Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma after Brighton agreed to a £25m fee. The Malian all-rounder was Brighton's standout performer last season and has long been on the radar of a host of Premier League.

A deal is expected to be completed in the coming days with an announcement expected soon. Bissouma joins Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentancur in the Spurs midfield ranks.

Victor Osimhen

Spurs are also looking to rival North London rivals Arsenal for the signature of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who set Serie A alight last season with a haul of 18 league goals. The Nigerian international will not come cheap though. Napoli have slapped a price tag of £95m on the striker, already pricing Barcelona out of a move.

Official talks between the two parties are not yet underway but it is understood that the interest is profound with Spurs considering possible Harry Kane replacements should the club captain depart this summer.

Christian Eriksen

The North London club are looking to re-sign former midfield star Christian Eriksen this summer amid concrete interest from Manchester United. The Danish midfielder enjoyed a stellar time at White Hart Lane and could be on his way back to the club after rejecting a contract extension from Brentford earlier this week.

Eriksen made a massive impact after joining Brentford's battle against relegation back in January but will be looking to return to the top level after reintegrating himself into the game. Spurs will be playing Champions League football again next season, which could sway the Dane towards a North London return.

Pau Torres

Centre-back has been a major area of contention for Spurs heading into the 2022 summer transfer window and Pau Torres has emerged as one of the North London club's primary targets. Premier League rivals Manchester United are also keen to sign the Spaniard, who has been a standout performer for Villarreal this season.

Giovanni Lo Celso could play a major role in a potential deal with Villarreal keen to bring the Argentine midfielder back to the club on a permanent basis following an impressive loan spell last season.

Rumoured Departures

Troy Parrott

Troy Parrott first burst onto the scene when handed a couple of substitute cameos by former manager Jose Mourinho, but the Irish striker has had a bumpy road since. A loan spell at MK Dons did produce better results last season and the young forward could make the step up to Championship level this summer.

Swansea are reportedly interested in bringing Parrott to South Wales on loan, adding competition to a talented attacking lineup that currently boasts Michael Obafemi and Joel Piroe. Russell Martin was the man who brought Parrott to Stadium MK last summer and he could reunite with the striker at Swansea this summer.

Giovanni Lo Celso

The Argentine midfielder enjoyed an initially successful move to North London but soon fell out of favour and spent the 2021/22 season on loan with La Liga outfit Villarreal. Lo Celso turned in an array of commanding midfield performances for the Yellow Submarine as they reached an unprecedented Champions League semi-final.

The Spanish side are keen to bring Lo Celso back to the Estadio de la Cerámica on a permanent basis and with Spurs keen on signing centre-back Pau Torres, a part-exchange deal seems more than likely.

Steven Bergwijn

Bergwijn's time in North London so far has been successful but somewhat frustrating. The Dutch winger has shown plenty of talent in glimpses but has often been resigned to playing a substitute role, most notably scoring twice from the bench in a shock comeback win against Leicester last season.

The winger could be set for a return to his home country with Dutch giants Ajax rumoured to be in talks over a transfer, but the two clubs are still some way apart in their negotiations, so this deal could be a slow burner.
