The Rugby League World Cup is on the horizon, with 16 nations competing to be declared the best in the world.

Australia are the red-hot favourites to come out on top for a third consecutive edition of the tournament, and with the likes of Nathan Cleary and James Tedesco in their squad, it's not hard to see why.

But when will the Kangaroos be in action in the United Kingdom? Here is everything you need to know about Australia's Rugby League World Cup schedule.

Who will Australia play in the RLWC Knockout Stages?

Australia are almost certain of a place in the quarter-finals, with the Kangaroos seemingly assured of the top spot in Group B.

Should Mal Meninga's side achieve that feat, they will be rewarded with a quarter-final clash against the side that finishes second place in Group C, which contains New Zealand, Lebanon, Jamaica and Ireland. This match will take place at the John Smith's Stadium in Huddersfield on Friday, November 4th.

If Australia comes out on top in that match then they face the prospect of a mouth-watering semi-final clash with New Zealand. The two Southern Hemisphere rivals are the favourites for the competition, with many predicting that the winner of their clash will go all the way.

The final of this year's competition will take place at Old Trafford, Manchester on Saturday, November 19th.
