Nathan Jones's Luton departure: As it happened

Nathan Jones first took charge of Luton back in 2016, when he left his role as first-team coach at Premier League Brighton to take control at Kenilworth Road.

Luton impressed in League Two under Jones, finishing fourth in the 2016-17 season before losing to Blackpool in the play-offs.

Jones would avenge that close shave with promotion in the next season with Luton Town gaining promotion to League One after finishing second in the table.

A departure from Kenilworth Road would follow as Jones made an ill-fated switch to Stoke with Luton sitting 2nd in League One, but by the 2019/20 season, Jones was back at Luton, who were now a Championship club.

More success followed for Luton under Nathan Jones as he guided them to Championship safety before securing a playoff semi-final finish last season.
