Cardiff have parted ways with manager Steve Morison following a disappointing 1-0 defeat against a struggling Huddersfield side last time out.

The Bluebirds were tipped as dark horses by many this season but have struggled to make an impact in the league this season and are now looming around the relegation zone at the ten-game mark.

With the board's quest for a new head coach set to get underway, RealSport101's Harry Smith is on hand to give you the latest odds to replace Steve Morison as Cardiff manager.

Morison’s Cardiff departure: As it happened

This might be the most surprising managerial departure of the season so far with Morison held in high regard by large portions of the Cardiff fanbase.

The former Millwall striker made his way into the managerial game last season, taking over the reins at Cardiff on an initially temporary basis before landing the job on a full-time basis.

Unfortunately for Morison, there would be no improvement during his second season with the Welsh club, and a damaging defeat against managerless Huddersfield has spelt the end of his time as Cardiff boss.

Poor recruitment in the attacking departments has cost Morison dear this season with Max Watters and Mark Harris both struggling to find form in front of goal.
