Brighton & Hove Albion defender Marc Cucurella is understood to be high on Pep Guardiola's wishlist this summer after the Spanish left-back shone for Graham Potters since last season.

Cucurella was named Brighton's Player of the Season after impressing in the left-back role, and with Manchester City without a senior left-back in their side, a move would appear to make a lot of sense.

Kalvin Phillips

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is another name that has been linked with a move to the Etihad this summer.

The versatile holding midfielder struggled with injury issues during the 2021/22 season and as such, made just 23 appearances across the campaign.

However, Pep is still believed to be keen on a deal for Phillips, who would be a direct replacement for Fernandinho, who ended his nine-year stay at the club when his contract expired earlier this month.

  • Pedro Porro (Sporting CP) - £7.65M
  • Fernandinho

Rumoured Departures

With a wealth of incomings, City will be looking to offload a number of players in the summer.

Here are some rumoured departures for the Premier League champions.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus' time at the Etihad Stadium looks to be nearing an end, with the Brazilian heavily linked with a move away from Manchester City this summer.

The arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez has seen the opportunity for minutes limited for Jesus, with a move to another Premier League club looking likely.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been linked with a move for the Brazilian, whilst Real Madrid are also believed to be keen admirers.

Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling is another player believed to be considering his long-term future this summer.

The 27-year-old has been a key component in Manchester City's success since his arrival in 2015, but with one year left on his contract, he could be set for a move elsewhere.

Chelsea are believed to be the front runners for Sterling's signature if he pursues a move away from East Manchester.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Ukrainian midfielder come full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko is another player who could be on the move in the off-season.

The fan favourite has impressed in a makeshift left-back role over the course of the last two seasons. However, it is understood that he is hoping for a more regular, midfield role.

Arsenal and Everton are among those linked with a summer move for Zinchenko.
