The final stage of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying is more than halfway through, and just two jam-packed international windows are left before the qualifying slate is complete.

So, find out whether Mexico will be playing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar here.

Is Mexico in the Qatar 2022 World Cup?

Mexico has not yet officially qualified for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Mexico currently sits third in their qualifying table, occupying the final automatic qualifying spot.

The top three spots in the group all qualify directly for the World Cup, while fourth-place advances to an intercontinental playoff against the Oceania winner.

Therefore, it will be key to snatch a top-three spot and avoid that gruelling and stressful last step.

The next round of World Cup qualifiers takes place from Thursday, 24 March to Tuesday, 29 March.

Scotland, Wales and Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal must also go through the play-offs.

Who has already qualified?

As hosts, Qatar received automatic qualification to the tournament and as stated previously the opening game will feature the host nation.

Four-time World Cup winners Germany were the first team to guarantee a spot through the qualification process in Europe.

Brazil, the most successful national team in World Cup history with five trophies, secured swift qualification as one of the top four teams in South America's groups.

England already secured their place back in November by topping their qualifying group.
