The excitement for the 2022 FIFA World Cup is building as we head towards the Winter months.
After such a strong performance from Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, fans are wondering whether they will be playing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Is Egypt in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup?
Egypt has not yet officially qualified for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.
However, they are on course to qualify alongside Algeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal and Tunisia.
These countries competed at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in January and will be switching focus back to the World Cup qualification in March.
The next round of World Cup qualifiers takes place from Thursday, 24 March to Tuesday, 29 March.
Scotland, Wales and Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal must also go through the play-offs.
Who has already qualified?
As hosts, Qatar received automatic qualification to the tournament and as stated previously the opening game will feature the host nation.
Four-time World Cup winners Germany were the first team to guarantee a spot through the qualification process in Europe.
Brazil, the most successful national team in World Cup history with five trophies, secured swift qualification as one of the top four teams in South America's groups.
England already secured their place back in November by topping their qualifying group.
