How to get past spinning spikes wheel in Resident Evil Village

A lot of the puzzles are pretty grand in Resident Evil Village, asking you to trek across large areas to collect items and avoid enemies.

However, there are still some sections in Capcom's game that are deceptively tricky.

Early on in Village's story, you'll meet the family of baddies that seemingly rule the town. You'll then need to run away to get so some kind of safety.

Dropping into one of the rooms, you'll be faced by a spinning wheel of spikes coming straight towards you. Touch them and you're dead, it's as simple as that.

Below, we'll run you through how to avoid them and progress to the next part of the game.

When you drop down into the small room, your first instinct will be to break the two breakable boxes you'll spot.

In fact, they're of no use to you and trying to break them will only waste time you'll need to hide.

Also, since Ethan's hands are bound, he can't even break them if he wanted to, so don't bother trying.

Rather than trying to stop the spinning spikes or trying to get past them, you need to actually hide from them, and you need to be in one very specific place.

If you drop into the room, immediately head to the left and hide in the corner of the room, level with the place you drop in from.

The wall is a little deeper there; enough so that you can hide there. Once the wheel approaches, it will break Ethan's chains and let him move freely.

The spinning spikes wheel will then be gone, you can grab what came out of those breakable boxes, and continue on Resident Evil Village's adventure.
