Resident Evil 8 Gameplay Trailer
In the demo, we got to see a variety of different aspects of the game.
From the environments and locations to new characters and enemies, as well as the return of a fan favourite character.
The game will once again be in first-person, the same as Resident Evil 7, and players will also take control of Ethan Winters.
In the demo we see Ethan make his way from the village to the castle, before being ambushed by the witches, who manifest from a swarm of moths.
We also get a look at the tall lady, who seems to have a very prominent role in the story.
The combat has been drastically improved over RE7, with it seeming to be a lot smoother this time around.

Guarding and defense plays a big part in the combat, allowing Ethan to block attacks, as well as knock enemies back to give players some breathing room.
The inventory management from Resident Evil 4 makes a return, a system often hailed as the best in the series.
In addition to the inventory management is the new crafting mechanic, allowing players to craft First Aid meds and ammo.
Resident Evil 8 will also have a large variety of weapons.
In the demo, we got to see a handgun, shotgun, sniper rifle, and grenades.
A familiar face from RE4 also makes a return, the Merchant.
This time he is called the Duke and rather than being a mysterious cloaked figure, he is now an overweight older man.
But the concept is the same, players can buy and sell weapons and items, as well as upgrade weapons.
He will be found in various places across the game.
In true Resident Evil fashion, there will be a large emphasis on puzzle-solving.
Chase sequences also make a return, much like the Jack Baker chase section of Resident Evil 7.
Resident Evil 8 will launch worldwide on May 7th 2021.
The game will release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
