Jayson Tatum's standout NBA season has been rounded off with the reveal of a new signature pair of "Taco Jay" Air Jordan 36s.
The sneakers will likely be one of the last Jordan 36s released following next season's Air Jordan 37 model surfacing online, which sees a new look and new technology added to the Jordan sneaker line.
That being said, the Jordan 36s are still some of the best basketball shoes around right now, with the "Taco Jay" edition looking as though it will be an excellent pick to wear either every day or on the court.
So, without further delay, here's everything we know about the latest "Taco Jay" 36s so far...
Air Jordan 36 Taco Jay Release Date
The "Taco Jay" Jordans are out now following their release on 17 June 2022.
We'd recommend acting fast if you're looking to secure your pair as these standout Jordan sneakers will no doubt sell out fast.
Air Jordan 36 Taco Jay Design
As their name suggests, these Jordan 36s are inspired by Jayson Tatum's well-documented love for tacos as a post-game family meal.
As a result, the sneakers come littered with references to the traditional Mexican dish. For example, the yellow and Atomic Green colour scheme is emblematic of the tortilla shell and filling.
The sneakers are then accented by hints of orange across the heel tabs, laces, and outsoles as a further nod to the various taco ingredients.
The sneakers then make a more direct reference to tacos by featuring a stern-looking cartoon with Nike branding on the tongues and the right insole, while the left presents "Taco Jay" printed across the back much like the heel tabs.
These Jordans will also arrive with a special, signature shoebox featuring "Taco Jay" branding, the cartoon character, and the same Atomic Green colour scheme.
Air Jordan 36 Taco Jay Price
The "Taco Jay" 36s cost $195 in adult sizing, with smaller and subsequently cheaper kid's sizes also available.
This retail price aligns with the previous Rui Hachimura Jordan 36 release.
Where To Buy The Air Jordan 36 Taco Jay
The first place we'd recommend checking for these sneakers in stock is the Nike store under the new releases, basketball, or Jordan subsections right now.
Alternatively, keep an eye on the SNKRS launch page and look out for them in stock there.
If you're not able to secure your pair through retail, then we'd recommend checking out the resale market at StockX as another alternative place to buy.
