Fuse Operator Changes - Patch Notes

Ubisoft's Pre-Season Designer's Notes can be used to highlight the changes being made to Fuse and his unique Operator ability going forwards.

From what we can tell, it looks like Fuse is going to become a more viable pick for Attackers in the future. However, this isn't without a cost...

  • Cluster Charges;
    • Can be deployed on reinforced surfaces and Mira's Black Mirror;
    • Charges take longer (3s) to pass through reinforcements;
    • Reduced charge bounce after triggering;
    • The extension tube is now vulnerable to damage;
    • Added gadget light to signify a phase of activation;
    • Added VFX for Cluster Charge triggering on soft walls and reinforced surfaces;
    • Added SFX for Cluster Charge triggering on reinforced surfaces;
  • Increased recoil on AK-12;

When does Operation Crystal Guard start?

Operation Crystal Guard is due to start on August 30th, following the conclusion of Rainbow Six Siege Y6S2 - Operation North Star. As soon as the current season is over, we should see the next season start.

UPDATE: The Test Server now reflects Crystal Guard content which would suggest the full release of Y6S3 is scheduled for September 7th, or later. We do not have confirmation of this yet.

If you're looking for a specific start time, we can look at the North Star seasonal update for information. The Crystal Guard title update should start after an hour of Server Maintenance at the following times on release day:

    • Maintenance Time: 09:00 EST / 12:00 PST / 17:00 BST

    • Release Time: 12:00 EST / 15:00 PST / 20:00 BST

The Y6S3 update is going to introduce Osa, the newest Rainbow Six Siege Operator, and several map changes to three locations - Bank, Coastline, and Clubhouse.
