Rainbow Six Extraction: How many players does this game support?

Rainbow Six Extraction is set to be pretty huge - taking the formula set by siege and making it much more spooky. Rainbow Six Extraction is trying to cement its own identity whilst being true to the formula. Here's what we know so far.

Latest - Out Next Week

Rainbow Six Extraction is finally almost here. You can play it for yourself on January 20th.

We'll update you right here with all the latest information if anything changes.

How many players will Extraction support?

Interestingly, Rainbow Six Extraction is going to be a three-person co-operative experience. Without any sign of PvP gameplay, it looks like you're only going to be able to bring half your Siege squad to the party in the newest Rainbow Six game.

This isn't a game that's going to replace Siege, though, so don't worry about it too much. We're not expecting Rainbow Six Siege updates to stop anytime soon - Extraction is a completely different genre of game and it comes across as a spin-off more than a sequel.

If you're worried that you won't be able to play Rainbow Six Extraction alone, too, then you don't need to worry. You will reportedly be able to play Rainbow Six Extraction solo - however, we don't have any information about difficulty scaling and progression limitations. Extraction is being built as a three-player experience, so you might have some trouble getting through it without a full team of Operators.

We should learn more as we approach launch - but as it stands, Extraction is a three-player experience that can be optionally experienced solo.

Rainbow Six Extraction is due to launch on January 20th, 2022, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
