Ratchet & Clank State of Play event announced

With Genshin Impact and Returnal coming to PS5 this week, it's quite a big week for Sony's newest console.

Below, we'll run you through all of the PS5 news there is for April 26, as well as where you might be able to buy a console this week.

Ratchet & Clank State of Play

Sony has announced that a Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart State of Play show will premier this Thursday, April 29.

You can "tune in to the PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels this Thursday, April 29 at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern to see more than 15 minutes of fresh gameplay."

On top of that news, it was also revealed that the female Lombax is called Rivet. She'll play a huge part in the new game that's releasing this summer.

Finally, the PS Blog post that revealed her name also boasted a new trailer for Rift Apart. You can check it out below.

Godfall Exclusivity Ending

Interestingly, Godfall has been rated for PS4 and PC, following the expiry of its PS5 exclusivity deal.

You can see all of the ratings details on the PEGI website, where more platforms could crop up in the near future.

The release dates noted on the website obviously aren't correct, though, with the dates suggesting they're already out.

We'll let you know as soon as the release dates are confirmed.

PS Plus May Reveal This Week

The free PlayStation Plus games for May 2021 should be revealed this week.

They won't actually be available until May 4, but we should hear what the lineup is in a few days.

The games are usually revealed at around 5pm BST/1pm ET on the Wednesday before they go live.

Therefore, we should hear about what games will be included on the afternoon of April 28.

PS5 Console Stock

It seems like the PS5 stock issues are continuing for the foreseeable, with most retailers across the world unlikely to have large drops until the end of May.

UK

Stock is expected to start hitting retailers from May 10, but GAME has listed their current PS5 stock as returning on May 27.

Others, such as Smyths, are't set to have stock available until the last week of the month.

USA

The situation is pretty much the same in the US, with a little bit of hope for some smaller drops.

It's unknown when the next full drop might be, but Matt Swider on Twitter says that small drops could come randomly this week.

New Game Releases Today

April 26 is a quiet day for new releases, but we have Returnal and Genshin Impact to look forward to later this week.
