With the relaunch of Sony's PS Plus subscription service set to arrive in the not-too-distant future, many gamers are excited to get their hands on the Premium tier and all the classic games that come with it.

To a surprise to PS4 and PS5 gamers in Malaysia, some titles for the PS1 and PSP are now being listed on the PlayStation Store, confirming some rumoured features for the upcoming service. Here's what we know so far.

What PS1 & PSP Games are Listed on the PS5 store?

As revealed in a video by YouTuber Mystic, there are currently four games listed on the store with some even having prices and being available for purchase. The games are:

  • Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (PS1)
  • Worms World Party (PS1)
  • Worms Armageddon (PS1)
  • Ridge Racer 2 (PSP)

Out of these games, the only one currently purchasable is Oddworld with the Worms games having prices but no purchase option and Ridge Racer 2 being currently unavailable entirely.

PS1 Emulation Features

Mystic's video goes into detail about some of the features you can currently find in Oddworld: Abe's Odyssee, showcasing the inclusion of a rewind feature much like that in Nintendo Switch's collection of classic games and a series of screen filters and resolution/aspect ratio options to let players experience the game with a more retro vibe if they desire.

One thing Oddworld was noticeably lacking, however, was trophies. Bend Studio recently tweeted announcing that the classic Syphon Filter would have the trophy treatment upon its arrival to the PS Store but it seems like this won't be the case for all games unless Trophies are added to Oddworld later.
