Possible New Leak

We're getting closer and closer to the official reveal, and now a site is claiming that they've got leaks of some of the next set of PS Plus games.

While areajugones don't know what the main title will be in May, they are claiming that the following PS4 games will be free with PS Plus in May 2021.

  • Battlefield V
  • Stranded Deep

Battlefield 6 is rumoured to be revealed sometime soon, so now would be a perfect time to make a game from the series free.

However, we're not able to back up the claims from areajugones about whether these games will be free in May.

Reveal Time

The announcement of the May 2021 PS Plus lineup is due to come from PlayStation later today.

The PS Plus May 2021 announcement should come on April 28 at 11:30 EST / 16:30 BST. The Wednesday before the games release is when the lineups are always announced, and it should be no different this time.

The only possible thing that could shake it up is if the announcement is held back until the State of Play event on Thursday.

It is due to focus on Ratchet & Clank, but it could still feature some more exciting news.

PS Plus Games Release Date

As for the actual "release date" for the PS Plus May 2021 games, that's going to be a little bit later. However, it's still not too far away.

Looking at the current PS Plus games and the expiration of their "Free Period" is all we need to do to predict when the next PS Plus games are going to be free.

May 2021's PS Plus titles will release on May 4th at 00:00 Local Time. Even if your PS Store hasn't updated, if you just manually search for the title after this time (or give it five minutes) it should be available for free via the promotion.

Predictions & Leaks

Well, here we are. This is the place where things get a bit loose. We don't actually have any solid leaks just yet and we obviously don't have the official announcement, so we're going to throw our own May 2021 PS Plus predictions into the mix.

As the May 2021 PS Plus games are coming out on May 4th, it would be quite fitting to add a Star Wars title into the mix, wouldn't it?

Both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons would make excellent choices and, as they're both on Xbox's Game Pass and EA Play, it doesn't feel like it would be impossible for them to be added to PS Plus.

GOOD PICK? - Would you be happy with Jedi: Fallen Order dropping for free?

As for the PS5 title, PlayStation has a habit of giving us a brand new indie game each month. This makes everything a little tough to predict and we're not sure there are any rumblings of a launch title being added in May 2021. So, we're thinking Sackboy: A Big Adventure might be coming to the service.

We'll keep you updated with the latest, though, and any leaks that pop up along the way.
