PS Plus for February is about to drop - but it's not all about the free games.
We look at ways you can get the subscription on the cheap, and what game offers are available.
PS Plus on top?
With so many gaming subscriptions on offer - they are likely to influence what Next Gen console will go for (if and when they become available!)
PS Plus may be on top for now, but the gap is getting closer and closer.
You're going to need a subscription before you can start to access all of the great discounts on offer.
Sony offers three different options if you're looking to sign up, with blocks of one month, three months or twelve months.
If you have the money to spare, paying upfront for 12 months is the cheapest way to go about your business.
The one-time cost of £49.99 works out at £4.17 each month, significantly cheaper than the £6.67 p/m you'll pay for a three-month subscription or the £6.99 rolling monthly subscription.
There is even a cheaper subscription on the web, thanks to CD Keys.
You can pick up a 12-month PS Plus subscription for £44.99 in the UK, which is 10% off the normal PS Store price.
If you sign up now, you still have the chance to take advantage of the January savings!
The current PS Plus free titles are as follows:
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PS4)
- Greedfall (PS4)
- Maneater (PS5)
You can head here for more information on the current titles, to give you a bit more inside information before you decide if you want to start your PS Plus journey now, or hang on until February.
There's also plenty of games discounted on the PS Store, with some even PS Plus exclusives:
- Spryo Reignited Trilogy (£13.99)
- GTA: San Andreas (£8.03)
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (£2.39)
- Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (£7.99)
- GTA: Vice City (£7.19)
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey (£15.99)
If you're still not sold on the PS Plus dream, then why not take advantage of one of the free access weekends?
Sony last held one of their free weekends back in December and, whilst there is no word of when the next one will be as of yet, we're sure we'll see another in the near future!
