Another month, another set of PS Plus predictions - this time, we were talking about November 2021. PlayStation has just revealed the full set of PS Plus games coming next month and here's what you need to know. Did we get any of them right his time around?
UPDATE - Full announcement from PlayStation
The complete PS Plus announcement for November 2021 is here and it bodes well for our predictions - classically, we were off the mark again. The leaks were right, though, and PlayStation is getting the following games next month:
- Knockout City (PS5)
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (PS4)
- First Class Trouble (PS5/PS4)
In addition to this, we're getting three PSVR games next month. They are:
- The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners (PSVR)
- The Persistence (PSVR)
- Until You Fall (PSVR)
All six games will be available throughout next month with an active PS Plus membership, starting on November 2nd. The PSVR titles are going to be around until January 3rd.
Why don't we know what we're getting yet?
We know saying "PlayStation hasn't said what we're getting yet" is a bad answer, but PlayStation hasn't. When you couple that with the fact that this is the first time in over four months that we've not seen a credible leak regarding the upcoming month's PS Plus games... It's a surprise that we don't know what we're getting, but a welcome one.
We have made our predictions- however, we might not find out for sure what we get until October 28th. The State of Play is due to be broadcast just a few hours after the original announcement date - in the past, this has led to the PS Plus announcement being pushed back and we're inclined to believe this will happen again.
Interestingly, this State of Play is about third-party games. So... We might find out what we're getting during it - if we're lucky.
ADDITIONAL PREDICTIONS - PlayStation throwing three PSVR games in
This month's PS Plus offerings are going to be more exciting than your standard PS Plus month because PlayStation is celebrating PSVR's 5th Anniversary this month! That means there's going to be three PSVR games available with PS Plus on top of the standard selection of games.
This does, of course, raise the question... What PSVR games are going to be included? Well... We're hoping it's one of the following top-selling PSVR games - they were mentioned explicitly in the announcement above.
- Rec Room
- PSVR Worlds
- Beat Saber
- Resident Evil 7
Skyrim, Beat Saber, and PSVR Worlds have our vote - but we might find ourselves surprised with what's on offer.
OUR MAIN PREDICTIONS - What do we think is coming?
Either way, here are our predictions for November 2021's PS Plus lineup...
Metro Exodus (PS5)
Set one year after Metro Last Light, Exodus throws us into the biggest world Artyom has explored yet. In this outing, Artyom is tasked with travelling to the far east to fully escape the horrors of the Moscow Metro system. Although it was originally launched in 2019, Metro Exodus' Enhanced Edition was released earlier this year with all the next-gen features you'd expect.
Gran Turismo Sport (PS4 & PSVR)
Gran Turismo Sport has been out for a little while, but it's the most recent entry in the hit racing series. With all the add ons, there's over 300 vehicles to choose from and over 80 tracks to race on. Even without PSVR, this is a title worth checking out - racing fan or not.
We know this will be a little late for Halloween, but Alien Isolation is easily one of the better horror titles we've seen in recent years. The Xenomorph AI could do with a bit of work, but they're usually quite good at tracking you and it's as atmospheric as they come. If you like Ridley Scott's Aliens series, then you'll love this. It also pairs well with Predator Hunting Grounds, last month's offering.
As for PSVR titles, things like Moss and Astro Bot Rescue Mission are both excellent predictions for November 2021's PS Plus offerings - however, we'll just have to wait and see what they release.
November 2021's PS Plus games will be announced on October 27th and be available to download on November 2nd.
