PS Plus October 2021 Games: How good is the leaked lineup?

Once again, the PS Plus free games for October 2021 have reportedly leaked ahead of time. The official reveal is due to come this afternoon, but it looks like we already know what to expect.

The initial leak came from Dealabs, who have been right in the past, and it has been backed up by other sources. The full leaked lineup is:

Of course, this may turn out to be incorrect, but we don't expect it to.

How good are the PS Plus October 2021 games?

That brings into question, how good are the games that make up this month's lineup?

The PS4 titles are far more known quantities that Hell Let Loose. PGA Tour 2K21 saw somewhat of a resurgence for the golf series, thanks to some of the best gameplay the series had seen in a long time.

It's a little lacking on the modes front, with the career mode being more of a simple tour of the game's courses than a challenging golf lesson.

On the fairways, however, 2K21 is a lot of fun, especially if you're playing with friends. The gameplay is fast paced, engaging, and there's some challenge to aspects like spin and ball placement.

That being said, you can make it as easy as you like, not having to worry about the lie of elevation if you don't want to.

This choice is somewhat disappointing, but that's not due to the quality of the game.

Mortal Kombat X is only a disappointing inclusion because it's not the more recently released Mortal Kombat 11 or expanded Mortal Kombat XL.

If you're just after a brilliant fighting game and don't care how modern it is, then X is the prefect option.

It might even make you want to pick up the more recent entries in the series sometimes soon.

Hell Let Loose

Interestingly, Hell Let Loose released on October 5, which is the day the October 2021 PS Plus games are due to release.

While that means we don't know much about the PS5 version, we do know what the game was like on PC.

It's a hardcore WWII shooter for up to 100 players, so it's smart to launch it on PS Plus, as it'll attract a larger player base.

It's currently got 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam, so hopefully it'll be a hit on PS5 too.

As soon as the PS Plus October 2021 lineup is officially revealed, we'll be sure to let you know. We imagine it'll be the same as the leaked one, unless Sony has some surprised up their sleeves.
