Recently we have seen a lot of games receive updates to improve their performance on the next-generation of consoles, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
These have ranged from games released on the consoles, such as Miles Morales which saw an upgrade to 60fps with ray tracing, and last-gen games such as The Last Of Us 2 which recently received a 60fps upgrade.
Watch Dogs Legion is the latest game to receive an upgrade and it is long overdue and much needed.
Watch Dogs Legion To Upgrade To 60fps On Console
In a recent blog post, Ubisoft laid out the future content road map for Watch Dogs Legion, giving us a look at what to expect in the coming months.
The game has recently seen the TU 4.0 update go live, and it has been confirmed that 4.5 will bring a 60fps performance mode to the game for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
"We’re happy to let you know that 60 FPS, or “performance mode”, is coming to consoles with TU 4.5. We’re also adding the ability for you to play with friends on the same console family; Xbox One players with Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 players with PlayStation 5."
Ubisoft also confirmed in the post that the 4.5 update will arrive on June 1st.
The roadmap also includes the Bloodlines DLC and two new playable characters, Aiden Pearce and Wrench that will be coming to the game in July.
The PVP Invasion and Extraction modes have been pushed back to August, which is also when we will see an Assassin's Creed crossover which brings new missions, world events, and Darcy to the game.
A new single-player mode called Resistance will also be released during the August update.
