We might not know what's on the agenda, but PlayStation has confirmed that it's going to last roughly 40 minutes long in the following statement:

" The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond. And stick around after the presentation to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase."

WHAT do we expect to see show up?

As you might imagine, there's a lot of rumours circulating about this event - however, almost nothing solid that would suggest any rumour is more likely than the other.

With that being said, there are a few things that seem more possible than others. For example, a lot of people are banking on Sucker Punch Productions' infamous InFamous series making an appearance. It's been over seven years since the last InFamous title was released - First Light - which was a standalone expansion for InFamous Second Son. So... We are due another aren't we?

In addition to this, a lot of people seem to think that we could be getting a Metal Gear Solid remake announcement during the PlayStation Showcase 2021 broadcast. It is rumoured that the recently acquired Bluepoint Games is the studio behind the remaster - they remastered Demon Souls for the PS5 last year - and it doesn't look like Konami is limiting its IPs to internal development anymore. Could Solid Snake show up?

On top of this, there are games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok - the current title being used to refer to the sequel to 2018's God of War - which are "safe bets" to show up in some capacity. There's also whisperings of a new Uncharted game, but again... Nothing solid enough to put money on. PlayStation has, for better or worse, kept a tight lid on what's going to appear in today's Showcase.
