New PlayStation State of Play Scheduled For This Week

Coming off the back of an impressive E3 showcase from Xbox, Playstation have a lot of work to do. Luckily, this week marks one of the first steps in that direction for the Summer.

The next State of Play is set to take place this week. This is what you should know about it.

PlayStation State of Play Scheduled For This Week

Over on their official Twitter page, they announced all the details. This would take place on Thursday, July 8th and would focus on Deathloop, alongside some new games and upcoming indie titles.

Check back on RealSport for all the latest details and what they announce.

What Can You Expect To See?

Well, obviously we will see some brand new information on DeathLoop, the new timed exclusive from Arkane Studios. It should go in-depth with some of the mechanics and maybe treat us to some more story to find later this year.

Outside of this, we might see some updates from upcoming rereleases like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima. They have a few unanswered questions and fans are looking for answers.

Hopefully, we see something entirely new, alongside these returning favourites. It would be great to see something strange and unique to look forward to in the future.

Will God of War and Horizon Forbidden West Be There?

As clarified in the PlayStation blog, we will not receive any new updates on "God of War, Horizon Forbidden West or the next generation of PlayStation VR." This will temper fans' expectations to avoid too much disappointment.

The show should last thirty minutes and should be fairly varied but will not include these games. They will likely see their own State of Plays later this year or early next year.
