The official release of PES 2022 is just a matter of weeks away now.
Konami is set to bring us some awesome new features and updates to specific game modes, but first up will be the PES 2022 demo.
A new 'Open Beta Test' is now live on selected platforms, so this could be our first look at what is to follow.
New Football Game
Konami has released an Open Beta Test under the name 'New Football Game' into the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
The official statement from Konami reads as follows:
KONAMI is proud to announce that a new football experience is on its way! To prepare for its launch, we'll be running an open beta prior to the game's official launch, as described below.
The purpose of this beta test is to evaluate the quality of the online matchmaking and connection to the servers.
Please note that gameplay mechanics, balancing, animations and graphics are all under development and will be improved before the official launch.
With all that out of the way, we would like to invite you to participate in this open beta, and we would greatly appreciate it if you could share with us your thoughts and feedback on your experience.

Release Date
You can play the New Football Game Online Performance Test from Thursday, 24 June to Thursday, 8 July, giving you a two-week window.
What is it?
Konami has not given much away at all. With the gameplay mechanics still in development, Konami has said that the purpose of this beta test is for two reasons.
- To check the quality of online matchmaking and connection, in order to make improvements before the official launch.
- To survey participants of the test, which will provide us invaluable information to further improve the game experience.
Platforms
The beta test is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
All you need to do is go to your console's official store, download "New Football Game Online Performance Test" and launch the game. You do not need to pre-register to participate in this test.
Cross-generation play between PS4 - PS5 and Xbox One - Xbox Series X|S is available too.
