PES 2020: Fans are begging Konami to sort out the AI in this year's game

PES 2020 fans are pleading to Konami to address issues with the AI that has affected the last couple of games.

Gamers on the PES sub-Reddit, WEPES, claim both PES 2018 and PES 2019 saw AI controlled teams play with exactly the same play-style, which hampered replayability.

One fan write: "I play from the times of Winning Eleven on PSX and never like 19 I met such a scripted AI.

"Very boring and unlikely opponent tactics at high levels, if the CPU decides to press high, the commitment must be doubled in addition to the script factor we must add the annoying problem of fouls totally in one direction only the opposite of the player obviously.

Another gamer added: "The AI has gradually got worse and worse every year since the game left ps2. Along with the player selection, scripting and freedom.

"If 2020 is twice as good as 19, it still means its a lot worse than it was."

Not all PES fans were as damning, though.

One wrote: "If you have actual concerns about the AI, note down the specifics match to match, and put that together to send to Konami.

"Also, I find it really funny you're complaining about the AI in PES 2020 before even playing it, based on how literally one tailor made team plays..."
