Overwatch 2021 Summer Games Release Date

In line with what Blizzard have done for previous Overwatch events, they gave the release date for the next update mere days before it goes live. This means we can see the Summer Games celebration go live on July 20th.

Make sure to get there early to take advantage of all the new skins and potential modes.

Release Time

Blizzard are infamously a little iffy on release times. Generally, we have a pretty solid guess but they never reveal when it will go live, possibly to give themselves a little more time if they need it.

Here was our original prediction for time, which seems to be not too far off.

The Overwatch Summer Games 2021 update should go live on Tuesday at around 9/10 am PT / 5/6 pm BST / 12/1 pm ET. This means we have just a matter of hours to wait before we can expect to see the latest update.

If it doesn't arrive around this time, keep an eye on the Overwatch Twitter and wait an extra hour to check again. We will update here as soon as we find any more information about that inevitable release time.
