Trailer

In the new overview trailer released for Mario Golf: Super Rush, we finally got a glimpse of the gameplay and exactly who will be available in the title.

The trailer reveals the energetic Speed Golf mode, as well as the more progression-based Golf Adventure.

Game Modes

Hit the green with up to four players locally or online.

Golf with 16 familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters, including Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Bowser.

ORIGINAL - This is golf like you have never seen it before

Modes range from Standard Golf to the energetic Speed Golf and an RPG-like Golf Adventure mode.

Intuitive motion or button controls, a shot gauge that adapts to the curve of the course, and other new features make it easy for both new players and seasoned pros to drive and putt with power.

Speed Golf

Tee off at the same time with up to three other players and race through the course to get your ball in first.

Outpace and interrupt your opponents with dashes and special shots in the most chaotic golf mode we have ever seen.

First review hails Speed Golf mode

The first review for Mario Golf: Super Rush has been released.

Famitsu published its review over the weekend, assigning four relatively high scores to the title.

According to the reviewers, the game’s true highlight was Speed Golf mode, a brand new addition to the Switch entry in the Mario Golf spin-off series.

The individual scores given to the game by Famitsu were 8,8,8,9 out of 10.

Golf Adventure

Enroll your Mii character in golf training in a prestigious country club and go from rookie to pro in a Career-like mode which can also be used in other modes too.

LEVEL UP - Take your rookie to the top in Golf Adventure

You’ll face off against your Mushroom Kingdom classmates and earn experience points to level up to improve your character’s stats like power, movement, and spin.

Motion Controls

Mario Golf: Super Rush includes motion controls!

This means that you can actually pretend you're swinging a real golf club with your Switch Joy-Con controller.

In the lead-up to the game's release, Nintendo Japan has uploaded a new video showcasing the motion controls in the game.

While we've seen motion-controlled golf in games like Wii Sports in the past, this is the first time the Mario Golf series has made use of the technology.

Mario Golf: Super Rush website is now live

Nintendo has launched a brand new website for Mario Golf: Super Rush ahead of the game's launch later this month.

The site offers a closer look at all of the characters available in-game and the courses you'll be playing on.

There's also a section dedicated to teaching you how to play, detailing each of the game's main modes such as Standard Golf, Speed Golf, and Golf Adventure, and how to truly master different types of shots.
