With the announcement of the official release of Pokemon Unite, more information is being revealed as we get more and more excited.
We start the countdown to July 21, the game's Nintendo Switch release date, it's time to learn about all the extras and bonuses, including Zeraora.
What We Know So Far
Pokemon Unite will resemble classic MOBAs in some ways - it features 5v5 battles with unique units that play different roles. There are AI opponents, too, but the main target should be opponents handled by others players/trainers.
However, Pokemon Unite seems to be trying to break the mold:
- The battles have a time frame. In the first Game Mode, you have 10 minutes to collect Aeos Energy (defeating enemies).
- The winner of the match is those who are able to deposit the biggest number of Aeos on the opponent bases, instead of destroying/protecting a base.
- So far we have not seen that Pokemon needs mana to use their abilities, a resource that takes a huge role in this type of game.
- There is no jungle. There are three lines but is not necessary to focus on one. The idea is to be aware of the enemy positions at all times.
In our opinion, this game is introducing this genre to a new audience, bringing the action of competitive MOBA games like DOTA and League of Legends to a more relaxed and oversimplified version, appealing to a broad audience.
How Do We Get Pokemon
So far it has been announced that a total of 20 Pokemon are included in the roster of Pokemon Unite: 6 attackers that will be the ADC of the team; 4 speedster that will strike squishy enemies; 4 all-around that will bring a balance of strength and durability; 3 defenders (the tanks of the squad); and 3 supporters geared with healing abilities and crowd control.
When the game starts, you are given the opportunity to chose one companion. Pikachu, Talonflame, Snorlax, Charizard, and Eldegoss are solid options considering difficulty and usability.
How To Get Zeraora For Free
The developers have announced that Zeroara will be given to all Pokemon Unite players who log-in between July 21 and August 31.
Zeroara is a speedster that has the ability to close the gap between itself and his enemies very fast, while combining ranged abilities and melee power.
Is Pokemon Unite Coming For All platforms
Pokemon Unite will be available on mobile devices in September. Cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch and mobile devices is planned, which will allow players on both consoles to battle together and against one another.
Additionally, if you log in using your Nintendo Account or Pokemon Trainer Club account, you’ll be able to use your game data on any device. With this feature, you can play on both Nintendo Switch and a mobile device without losing your progress.
We have not received any information if the game will have a PC version. Nonetheless, some speculations has been made, considering that this genre is traditionally for desktop players. Stay tuned for more updates!
