Wrestling Rumour Roundup: Neville quits WWE & Jimmy Jacobs fired for Bullet Club photo?

Neville walks out of Raw - asks for release

The biggest, most bizzare rumour coming out this week was that of the ex WWE Cruiserweight Champ - Neville, supposedly walking out of a show just before he was booked to wrestle Enzo Amore, the current champion. Prowrestlingsheet.com has multiple sources telling them that Neville was scheduled to lose to Enzo Amore in the main event lumberjack match on Raw, however, the challenger walked out just before the match, changing the plan completely.

In case you missed Raw, we saw one half of the old Lucha Dragons, Kalisto, win the Cruiserweight Title from Enzo. Shortly after, twitter account @WrestleVotes said that Neville has in fact quit, and this claim is backed up by Prowrestlingsheet's sources. However, nothing official has been announced yet. WWE has denied the report, but more reports seem to come out with each day confirming the story.

WWE signs a new indie star

A VERY indie star, I should add. WWE NXT's recruitment strategy is no secret: hire anyone, from anywhere, at any time. And they have a new target in sight. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (by way of Wrestlinginc.com), WWE have a vested interest in Fred Yehi - an independent star who's doing rounds on the independent circuit. He is a former Evolve Tag Team Champion, and FIP World Champion. He lost his Cruiserweight Classic qualifying match to TJ Perkins.

Jimmy Jacobs no longer with WWE after photo with the Bullet Club

Jimmy Jacobs uploaded a picture of himself with Matt and Nick Jackson, Hangman Page and Marty Scurll back in late September. This was during the "Bullet Club invasion" in California. Sources say that the backstage producer left the company last week, but Prowrestlingsheet could not confirm if he was released or not. They do report, however, that there was major heat on Jimmy for posting the Instagram picture.

We've seen that the WWE officials are furious at the Bullet Club invasion, and it even lead to them sending the Young Bucks a legal letter. The WWE rep had no comment.
