SmackDown Live Power Rankings: Week of August 8th

See where all the SmackDown Live Superstars end up on the Power Rankings!

SmackDown Live was just about on par for a passable show this week. So without further delay, Power Rankings!

NUMBER 10: CHARLOTTE (+1)

Charlotte managed to survive a Lana assisted wardrobe malfunction and squash Lana. For a squash match, it was definitely much talked about, probably for the wrong reasons. However, a dominant win means Charlotte slides into the top ten this week.

NUMBER 9: CARMELLA (+2)

The chinless wonder returned this week and helped Carmella pin Naomi. As good as this is for Carmella it did frustrate me if you had Naomi down for a three count, why not just cash in?

NUMBER 8: NAOMI (-1)

Naomi took a loss this week and lost some of her momentum heading into Summerslam, hopefully for her sake she can regain some on the go home show.

NUMBER 7: BARON CORBIN (+1)

Baron was roasted by Cena this week, but at the same time, he seems to have locked down a big Summerslam match against him, which is a huge deal.

NUMBER 6: JOHN CENA (-1)

John Cena verbally berated Baron Corbin in the way only John Cena can and I loved it!

NUMBER 5: AJ STYLES (-3)

AJ looked a little silly this week when he misfired his Pele Kick at Shane McMahon. However, he still holds that US Championship and keeps raising the prestige of the belt with every day he holds it.

NUMBER 4: THE USOS (+2)

The Usos picked up a win over two great competitors in Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger. Even without the Championships, The Usos are looking amazing.

NUMBER 3:  JINDER MAHAL (=)

I get that giving Randy back a win over Jinder is nice and all but, why? Jinder needs all the credibility he can get to build a believable match with Nakamura. Just seems like a missed opportunity to me.

NUMBER 2: THE NEW DAY (+2)

It is always a treat when The New Day decide to show their more serious side. Boy, they showed it during their post match beat down of The Usos. When chairs come out to play you know that things are getting serious.

NUMBER 1: SHINSUKE NAKAMURA (=)

Man, it feels great to have Shinsuke in the main event scene and despite not having a big part to play this week he still feels like the most important piece of SmackDown Live.
