Potential Summerslam opponents for Brock Lesnar

WWE are set to announce Brock Lesnar's Summerslam opponent on Smackdown this Thursday. Who could it be?

Potential opponents for Brock Lesnar at Summerslam

Cesaro

It’s one fans have wanted to see for a long time. Cesaro is a big, athletic guy who even next to Brock wouldn’t look small. It doesn’t hurt that Cesaro is also one of the very best performers WWE have on their books as well. As a former “Heyman Guy” who got burned up in the spotlight of Brock there is a good storyline to be had.

Kevin Owens

A big bully of a heel who thinks he can take on the world. Getting smashed by Brock Lesnar might undo some of the terrific work WWE have done is building Kevin Owens as a serious competitor but his mic work is strong enough to stand and duel with Paul Heyman, and really isn’t that what we all want to see?

Roman Reigns

Despite his current suspension Reigns is still being advertised as in the main event for Battleground, so why not also give him a rematch against Brock Lesnar? The potential to make another huge Summerslam main event with Lesnar is massively tempting. John Cena is 2014, The Undertaker in 2015. Why not a WrestleMania 31 rematch in 2016? It could also be a title match depending on the outcome of the Battleground main event.

Samoa Joe

NXT Champ, potential major draft pick…. It would be a dream match for many of the NXT fans as well as some lapsed fans who only watch Ring of Honor and the independents. It would be quite an investment in Joe to debut him on the main roster against Lesnar, but Joe is a monster in his own right.

Shinsuke Nakamura

NXT has seen a lot of superstars come through town but it has never seen anything like Nakamura. Much like Joe his is a relative unknown to the main roster fans but he has a history with Lesnar and the magnetic charisma to come in and blow the minds of main roster fans immediately.

CM Punk

Hey, we can hope right? With the WWE/UFC partnership that is letting Lesnar fight in UFC 200 who knows what might happen next!
