Monday Night Raw Preview: Who will be the Last Man Standing?

After triumphing last week, momentum seems to be on the side of Roman Reigns. Can he survive a huge Last Man Standing Match against Braun Strowman?

Who will be the Last Man Standing?

With Paul Heyman, the advocate for Brock Lesnar looking to get his client a bigger payday, he has affirmed that the Beast Incarnate will be leaving shall he lose the title at SummerSlam. Last week, we got a preview of the Universal Championship Match at SummerSlam as three of the four competitors in the Fatal 4-Way squared off in the ring.

Roman Reigns bested Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman in that contest, but his challenges on the road to SummerSlam are far from over. This week, a massive Last Man Standing Match between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman has been announced. Can these two behemoths finally settle things between each other? Will Strowman finally be finished with Roman Reigns? Lastly, how will Samoa Joe factor into things?

What will Bliss’ future be?

The number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship Bayley got injured at the hands of Nia Jax in their match last week and it is likely that the resident hugger for the WWE will miss the biggest party of the summer. We should get official word on Bayley’s injury this week on Raw. Given the situation, who will step up and challenge Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam?

The Blood of War

Last week, Dean Ambrose saved his former Shield brother Seth Rollins against a 2-on-1 assault dished out by Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro but after some small talk backstage, the Lunatic Fringe is still in denial that he did it for Rollins and insisted that he just wanted to save himself from looking like a jerk.

We know that since The Shield debuted in 2012, they have gone through numerous battles which forged a brotherhood bonded by the blood of war. Will the two finally get to their senses and become a cohesive unit once again?

Are we going to see the return of the Demon King?

Bray Wyatt has already been known to be a mind games type of person ever since the moment he set foot as the patriarch of the Wyatt Family. During a promo directed towards Finn Balor last week, we got a tease of the mind games the former Universal Champion used to pull.

With the Eater of Worlds trying to push as far as he could to send his messages, will this be enough to resurrect a Demon King?

Also notable…

It is hard to deny that the bigger storyline of the Raw tag team division is all the teams trying to bootstrap their careers by bringing down The Hardy Boyz. The Revival’s plan of another cheap attack backfired and came on the receiving end of another highlight from the multiple time tag team champs. How will this week play out for all the teams, including Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson involved?

Elias Samson (who is now referred to as Elias) defeated Kalisto last week now giving him more wins in a month than he ever had in his entire stint at NXT. Who would dare hinder the walk of Elias this week?

Jason Jordan got the best of The Miz and his Miztourage last week in another physical ending to MizTV. Will Jordan’s association with Raw General Manager Kurt Angle suddenly put the Miz’s Intercontinental Title reign in trouble?
