Cruiserweight Classic: Who is Kenneth Johnson?

With WWE's Cruiserweight Classic coming soon, RealSport takes a look at one of the men involved, Kenneth Johnson.

As we draw closer to WWE’s much anticipated “Cruiserweight Classic” we here at Real Sport are taking a look at some of the competitors that WWE have handpicked from around the world.

Today the man in the spotlight is Kenneth Johnson.

Where He Wrestles

Kenneth Johnson comes into this tournament with a big disadvantage in that he doesn’t have the same extensive experience on the independent circuit that many of his competitors will have. He’s a lifelong fan and that much runs in his family, but he’s only just begun to make his mark on the independent scene, including Ring of Honor.

Style

Johnson brings in a high-energy high-flying style. His speed is not to be underestimated, and he’ll look to use those skills to deal with the fact that even in this tournament, he’s still a smaller guy. The weight limit is 205 lbs, but Johnson weighed in just barely over 150 lbs. He’s a risk taker, and he’s not afraid to put his body on the line in the ring.

Expectations

Low. Very low. It’s nearly impossible to find much on Kenneth Johnson because he’s so early in his career. On top of that, he’s facing Akira Tozawa in the opening round. Nice knowing you, Ken.
