BREAKING: WWE Championship Match Announced For SmackDown Live

Tonight's inaugural edition of SmackDown Live just got a whole lot more interesting!

While excitement is at a fever pitch right now due to the WWE Draft taking place at the first ever SmackDown Live, the hype for tonight just got another big addition.

Due to the controversy surrounding the ending of their WWE Championship match on Raw, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will compete again in a rematch with the WWE Championship on the line tonight at SmackDown Live.

The announcement was made official via a WWE.com Exclusive in which Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon were caught backstage about the situation with the WWE Championship match. After some bickering, Shane said the match was still so good he’d like to see it again. Stephanie agreed, and Shane took the moment to make the rematch between the two former SHIELD brethren official.

This comes as yet another big piece of what could easily be the most jam-packed two hours of SmackDown in the history of the WWE. The majority of the WWE Draft, including six potential call-ups from NXT and possible returns of superstars from WWE’s past. Now we’ve also got a WWE Championship match as a Main Event.

Check out RealSport later tonight as SmackDown Live takes the stage for the first time for our own live results, coverage, and analysis of the entire WWE Draft!
