5 things to expect from Smackdown Live (26/07/16)

The first official Smackdown Live after the brand extension draft comes our way from the First Niagara Centre in Buffalo, New York.

1. Ready, Willing and Gable
American Alpha finally got their big moment and were announced as a draft choice for Smackdown Live. And now, tonight, they get their chance on the big stage to prove to everyone why they’re Ready, Willing and Gable to perform on the main roster.

2. The new face of fear is coming to Tuesday nights
Following his victory at Battleground, Bray Wyatt is riding a huge wave of momentum going into his first Smackdown Live as an official Smackdown Pick. The leader of the now split Wyatt family still has Erick Rowan by his side, but it’s unclear what his motives will be going into a new era.

3. Intercontinental Incident
After the absolute kerfuffle of a finish to the match on Sunday at Battleground, The Miz is yet again left without a challenger for his Intercontinental title, as Darren Young was drafted to the opposite brand. So, following WWE’s recent logic, another number one contender will have to be named tonight, otherwise The Miz is left in the wilderness with a title.

4. Shane one-ups his sister… again.
New commissioner and General manager respectively, Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan, will definitely be looking to get an early one up on their rivals at Raw. After a fantastic showing from Raw, including a title match, expect there to be a serious showing from Smackdown Live. Possibly a stipulation based match? Or maybe even TWO title matches?

5. Dean Ambrose, WWE Champion.
After he successfully retained sports entertainment’s most prestigious title on Sunday night and brought it home to Smackdown, Dean Ambrose will be on cloud 9 and will be very much in the good books of the show’s management. However, Dean isn’t one to rest on his laurels. He will want another competitor to face – and beat – for SummerSlam.

So this is what you can expect to see tonight! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to see how I did, as you will be able to read a full recap of the show tomorrow morning.
