205 Live Results and Recap: A new challenger appears! (August 22, 2017)

It looks like somebody got booted by Big Cass all the way down to 205 pounds. Will the Certified G's debut on the land of the Cruiserweights finally bring him dimes?

Two Reasons Why

If Tony Nese has eight reasons why he is the Premiere Athlete, there are simply two reasons to counter-argue that. One, he isn’t the top guy in his division right now, and number two, Cedric Alexander has gotten the best of him two weeks in a row now.

In a rematch of last week’s tag match, Nese once again teamed with his longtime tag team partner Drew Gulak in a chance to avenge last week’s defeat at the hands of Alexander and Gran Metalik. It looks like flashy offense has been Gulak’s pet peeve as he and Nese got defeated for two weeks in a row now in similar fashion, a Lumbar Jack to the back of Gulak to give Alexander and Metalik the victory.

Let’s hope we see more of Gran Metalik’s magnificent rope based offense in the weeks to come.

Counter-Play

The Brian Kendrick is indeed 205 Live’s Master of Mind Games luring Jack Gallagher into a Gentleman’s Duel only to be met by a real clown who fooled around with Gallagher but as he tried to dispose off his less physical adversary, Kendrick emerged from behind unleashing on Gallagher before putting him through the table once holding some foreign objects.

Next week, the two will square off in a No Disqualification match. Kendrick may have won this week’s battle but will he win the entire war?

The Certified G Debuts

Picking off where they left off one week ago on Monday Night Raw and last Sunday at SummerSlam, Akira Tozawa and Neville put up another classic match in what could be considered as the beginning to a bright future for 205 Live. The ending wasn’t vindicating for the Stamina Monster however as Neville ducked his Diving Senton before submitting to the Rings of Saturn.

The parade for the Cruiserweight King’s successful title defense, however, was rained on by none other than EA All Day himself, The Certified G, Enzo Amore who announced his arrival to the land of the Cruiserweights declaring it as the realest show in the room.

Neville’s move to the Cruiserweight Division has done wonders in resurrecting his career but will it be the same for Enzo Amore as well?

Quick Results
