The Bills ship sank around week 14 this season. They still had hope, but it depended squarely on other people losing. That’s no way to get into the playoffs. With no major changes on the coaching front, it looks like the owners are happy with an 8-8 record for this season. Can they hope for a better season next year? Let’s take a look at who they’re going to be facing.

  Hmmmm…. Interesting…..

Nice & Easy

New York Jets Now I know they’re not the worst team that they face, but the Bills beat them twice last year, proving that they have the skillset to put the Jets to bed at home and away. The Jets will be coming back for them, but with the record that they currently sit on, Buffalo should walk both these games without any major concerns.

Hard Hitting

Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh are going to come after the Bills. With the Bengals putting them down this season, the Steelers will not want a loss on record against the Bills. With Big Ben leading a hard hitting offense, and a defense that can contain with ease, the Steelers are going to be bringing the spirit of the Iron curtain to Buffalo. If the Bills want to try and eke out a win here, they are going to have to up their passing game, and wake up their corner backs.

Prime Time Potential

New England Patriots This is where the money is right now. Buffalo suffered two losses to the Patriots last season in what has become an annual drubbing from New England. The Bills need to break the cycle, and smash through the Patriots. Doing so in a prime time slot would win them some major points in the NFL, and maybe certain teams will start taking them seriously again. With the Pats aiming for Superbowl after Superbowl, this is where the Bills need to hurt them. Especially if a win over New England puts them out of the running. This season sees a challenging field laid out in front of the Bills, in what could prove to be the year that makes or breaks the coaching team. If they win, then they get to stay on with a successful franchise that they helped mould. If they come in with less than ten wins, I would expect the axe to be swinging hard come Black Monday.
