The game of the week in week 8 is coming on Sunday Night Football from the Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It’s the undefeated Green Bay Packers taking on the undefeated Denver Broncos, this is going to be a good one. The Packers have arguably the most valuable player in the NFL in Aaron Rodgers, he’s carrying this offense despite missing key players and others underperforming. Furthermore, there defense is overlooked as a legitimately good defense. This Packers team has the potential to go 16-0. The Broncos have the best defense in the NFL. They are great on every level and the defense is the only reason this team is still undefeated. Of all the undefeated teams I think the Broncos are the least convincing. Peyton Manning should’ve retired in the offseason, he is not the Peyton of old.   Three Keys to the Game:

  1. The Denver defense

The Denver defense HAS to contain Aaron Rodgers. If they don’t, the Broncos undefeated season will end. Peyton Manning will not be able to keep up with Aaron Rodgers if the Packers offense are allowed to heat up.

  1. The Packers defense

Yees, Manning is not the quarterback he used to be but that doesn’t stop the fact this offense is very talented. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanual Sanders have the potential to make any catch a big play and Ronnie Hillman has big play ability too. The Packers defense has to limit big plays to make sure they can win this game even if the offense is stifled.

  1. Special Teams

These offense vs defense match-ups could, very easily, lead to a stalemate, leaving the game in the hands of the special teams. Mile High is a great stadium to kick in and this game boasts 2 of the best kickers in the NFL. One missed field goal or extra point could be the difference in this game. A big return could also be the teams’ best chance to get a big chunk of yards.   Match-up to watch: Aaron Rodgers vs. the Broncos secondary; Rodgers has shown signs of being human in the last few weeks, but he is still capable of doing things as a quarterback that no one else can. However, this secondary is at least playing like the best secondary in the league, they have the best corner tandem in the league in Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.. The winner of this matchup will win this game.   Prediction: I think this game will be close no matter who wins. Both of these teams are very good, I just think the Packers are a better team. The Packers have a very good offense AND defense, the Broncos don’t. I think the Packers take this one, 17-10, and continue their run for a 16-0 season.   Who’s going to come out on top in this one?
