NFL Week 5: Injury Report & Key Inactives

These key players have been ruled out of today’s matches

Alshon Jeffery – WR – Chicago Bears

Jeffery will miss his third straight game as he deals with a hamstring injury. Marquess Wilson should receiver more targets as a result.

Sammy Watkins – WR – Buffalo Bills

Watkins will miss his second straight game with a calf injury. LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams have also been ruled out, meaning Tyrod Taylor will be looking to utilise Percy Harvin and Charles Clay more against the Titans.

DeSean Jackson – WR – Washington Redskins

Jackson is close to returning from a hamstring injury, but has been ruled out of their week 5 match up. Pierre Garcon is active, so will be a primary target of Kirk Cousins.

Steve Smith Sr – WR – Baltimore Ravens

Smith will miss this game due to the rib injury sustained against the Steelers. Already missing Brashad Perriman, the Ravens will utilise new receiver Chris Givens and Jeremy Ross, who was promoted from the practice squad.

Tashaun Gipson – FS – Cleveland Browns

The safety will miss the Ravens game with an ankle injury.

Marshawn Lynch – RB – Seattle Seahawks

Lynch will miss another game as he deals with multiple knocks. With backup Fred Jackson leaving their Monday night game against the Lions early with an ankle injury,  Thomas Rawls will receive the most touches out of the backfield.
