NFL Training Camp Roundup: AFC East August 12th

The Bills sign their franchise quarterback to a long term deal.

New England Patriots

Good news for the Patriots as Julian Edelman is moving great after the injury scare he had Tuesday. Edelman did not play in the preseason opener, same as Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell dislocated his elbow in the preseason opener, but will hopefully return in four weeks.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins continue to address their cornerback issues as they sign free agent Chris Culliver to a one year deal. Recovering from a torn ACL and MCL, Culliver will start on the PUP list. The Dolphins appear to not be worried about the injury, as Chris Culliver has previously torn his ACL in 2013 and bounced back to a great statistical year in 2014. To make room for Culliver, the Fins released linebacker Danny Lansanah and offensive linesman Jacques McClendon.

Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have their franchise quarterback in Tyrod Taylor. The deal is reportedly six years and worth $90 million. Taylor will make $9.5 million in 2016 and then the team has an option for 2017. If the team picks up the 2017 option, Taylor will make $27.5 million.

Some bad news comes alongside the signing. A year after the Geno Smith punch, IK Enemkpali throws a punch at Cyrus Kouandjio during training camp. This being the second altercation within a year, we will have to see what consequences Enemkpali faces.

New York Jets

Rookie linebacker Jordan Jenkins has been shining in training camp. He is the only Jets rookie to be a starter, and comes as a surprise as first-round rookie linebacker Darron Lee was expected to be a starter but has fallen behind in the depth chart. Fitzpatrick continues to change his looks, as he completely trimmed his beard down.
