The Cardinals had one of the best offenses last year thanks to a plethora of weapons, and so far in camp they are getting a lot of big plays from old faces and new ones. Receivers John Brown, Brittan Golden and Chris Hubert all made deep catches yesterday.
It’s not all offense though. Rookie DB Brandon Williams has been flashing consistently and broke up a deep pass to receiver Michael Floyd. Defensive tackle Red Bryant showed off his open field tackling when he put a huge hit on receiver Jaxon Shipley in 11-on-11 drills.
When you go over the middle for a pass, you usually don’t expect to see Red Bryant there.

San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are consumed by a QB controversy at the moment but there isn’t really any news on that right now. There has been a lot of positive news on the offense though. Torrey Smith and Colin Kaepernick combined for a long touchdown pass, Kaepernick and Carlos Hyde combined for a long pass and several rookies have been making plays – Aaron Burbridge, Jeff Driskel and Kelvin Taylor all got in on it.
On defense, fourth round pick cornerback Rashard Robinson made a diving interception on an out route and he’s added an extra 3 passes defensed. Meanwhile DB Jimmie Ward also notched an interception and 3 more passes defensed. Chris Davis – best known for his missed field goal return touchdown against Alabama – is securing the starting slot corner role for himself.
Brandon Browner sucked last year. He was one of the worst signings last season but that didn’t stop the Seahawks picking him back up this offseason. Now playing in a hybrid safety/cornerback role, Browner has reportedly looked very good for the ‘Hawks. He has been very good in coverage against tight ends and is learning the new position well. Cornerback Tharold Simon is also thrusting himself into the competition for the number two corner spot alongside Sherman thanks to his great camp thus far.
The Seahawks need to replace Marshawn Lynch this season, as a result they have a lot of running backs on their roster. However, four are currently missing time so Alex Collins and Christine Michael have been getting a lot of reps, particularly Collins. The physical runner has been looking good as a receiver and a runner but has been knocked around a lot, per Pete Carroll. Nevertheless, he is doing something right if he continues to get the reps.
Los Angeles Rams
Jared Goff came off having a strong day in pads to seemingly taking a step back yesterday out of them. Not to worry though, Rams fans, he is a rookie and this is completely normal. He is showing signs of development on the whole so that’s all they can ask for, for now.
Elsewhere on the offense, rookie receiver Duke Williams has impressed and rookie tight end Tyler Higbee has too. Rookie receiver Pharoah Cooper is dealing with a quad injury, though, and is missing valuable reps as he could stand a chance of cracking the starting lineup.
On defense, whilst E.J. Gaines is rehabbing his foot, Lamarcus Joyner and Coty Sensabaugh have been repping in as the teams number two corner. By all accounts they’re both doing relatively well.
