It’s officially Bowl season in college football, all the awards have been handed out and just 41 games remain on yet another college football season. These 41 games are hundreds of players final chance to pull on their college uniform and their final chance to impress NFL scouts.   For us fans, these 41 games are the last of college football until September, and that is seriously saddening if you ask me, so you better no miss out. Here’s how you can ensure you don’t.

I don’t know about everyone else, but there are plenty of games that I just cannot wait for. On day one of Bowl Season we are all treated to the Holy War, BYU vs Utah, in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. The storied rivalry is usually a yearly occurrence but the scheduling gods have deprived us of the match-up for the past 2 seasons, so this Bowl game is a welcome treat. The Russell Athletic Bowl seems to be bound for an offensive explosion, pitting the number 1 offense in points per game (48.0, Baylor) against the number 11 offense in points per game (40.9, North Carolina). Hopefully North Carolina and Baylor don’t disappoint. The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl seems poised to be an entirely different duel. Houston boast the 12th best offense in points per game (40.6) and face the challenge of the 5th best defense in points allowed per game (15.8), Florida State. Something has to give. Of course, nobody can ignore the College Football Playoffs. The Cotton Bowl and Sugar Bowl feature the top 4 teams in the country who are battling it out to reach the National Championship. If you can’t get excited for at least these games then I don’t think you’re human. Personally, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the New Year – and recover from the previous night – than by watching football, and New Year’s Day gives us 2 great games. The Rose Bowl – 6th ranked Stanford vs. 5th ranked Iowa – and the Sugar Bowl – 7th ranked Ohio State vs. 8th ranked Notre Dame – are 2 of the most fabled Bowl games and they feature some of the most fabled teams. If New Year’s Day wasn’t good enough for you, the Valero Alamo Bowl promises entertainment – and a treat for the eyes – by featuring two of the most exciting offenses and best dressed teams, Oregon and TCU. Like the Russell Athletic Bowl, this game seems to promise points, maybe even more.
