The NFL offseason can be an eventful period, with deals, injuries, and fallouts affecting every team on a daily basis. We’re gathering up some of the tastier morsels from this week, and presenting them to you for your delectation. Von Miller, the Broncos Super Bowl pass rusher MVP is still holding out on his contract negotiation with Denver. Sources report that the current $114.5 million offer is one of the biggest non-QB contracts ever put on the table. The six year deal could make Von Miller one of the richest defensive players ever, but he’s reportedly concerned about the payout for the first three years. Locking him down for the next six years would be a boon for the Broncos, but with the rest of the roster to think about, they need to watch the purse strings, so the first three years could well be a major stumbling block for this whole deal. Austin Sefarian-Jenkins was ejected from the Tampa Bay practice field on Thursday. Having come back from injuries in his first two years, the second round TE was hoping that this season was the one to turn his career around. He reportedly left training on Thursday night, with Dirk Koetter stating that “He didn’t know what he was doing”. He followed that up by stating that any issues they might have were “Between us”. Could this just be a minor bump in the road, or the beginning of the end for the Tight end at the Bucs? Hau’oli Kikaha has torn his ACL, putting him out for the entire 2016 season. In what must be devastating news for the Saints already weak defensive spread, the pass rushing Defensive end will be leaving a huge hole in the one place they were trying to rebuild. This will be the third ACL tear for Kikaha, having torn his left ACL twice back in College for Washington. Having only just transitioned back from Linebacker into DE, this could well leave a gaping hole in the defence for the season, which many a tight end, and running back will exploit. Michael Williams will be on the injured reserve list for the New England Patriots, after the TE reportedly tore his left ACL on Wednesday night during a practice session. This might not be as devastating, as they still have Gronkowski, but every player matters when you start the season, and no coach likes to start week one with people on the IR list. Jared Goff and the Rams finally agreed terms on his Rookie contract. He gets an $18.6 million signing bonus, and $27.9 Million in the first four years, with an option for a fifth year extension.
