News has come out of Buffalo that 1st round pick Shaq Lawson is going to require shoulder surgery. The issue was known to teams during the draft process, with Lawson firmly believing that he wouldn’t need surgery. However the Bills have decided to sent Lawson under the knife. “The Buffalo Bills are taking measures to prevent the possibility of Shaq Lawson aggravating a pre-existing shoulder condition during the season,” the team said in a statement. “While he could continue to play, the Bills medical staff has determined that surgery is the best course of action for the overall health of his shoulder moving forward.” It’s expected that Lawson will require 4 to 6 months before being back on the field, meaning that the most optimistic of forecasts has him back in mid-september but should there be any set backs he could end up missing the entire season.
