Not only do Washington actually have draft picks this year, they used them fairly well! The Redskins have a lot of wide receivers but not many are signed beyond the 2016 season. Doctson is a terrific route runner and an explosive athlete. While he was the third receiver taken in the first round he could be the best. He lacks some ideal size but is a a true #1 receiver in the making. Some of the question marks on Su’a Cravens revolve around where he will actually play in the pros. Personally I don’t think that will be an issue though, especially with the example set by Mark Barron and Deone Bucannon as hybrid safety/linebackers last season. Cravens can be a similar player for the Redskins and give them a number of nickel options with his ability to cover the middle of the field and play run defense. The selection of Kyle Fuller is also a good one. The ‘Skins need more help in coverage and Fuller can deliver, maybe not right away but with some solid coaching to iron out the wrinkles in his technique he should be able to take over from DeAngelo Hall on the outside. Their late picks provide nice depth, especially with the departures of Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris. Nate Sudfeld isn’t ready to step in should Kirk Cousins get hurt, but given time he could be a useful backup.
