NBA 2K19: All-Time Minnesota Timberwolves Player Ratings and Roster

A relatively new team to the NBA, the Timberwolves only have 30 seasons of experience as an organization, and it definitely shows. Having only a .399 W-L%, and only making the playoffs 9 times, they are in the running to be the worst organization of all time if this keeps up. This doesn’t mean they haven’t produced any great and talented players, it just means that those all-time greats stood out even more.

“K.G.” started his career in Minnesota, before winning a title in Boston. As the 5th overall pick of the 1995 draft, KG was the first player to be drafted straight out of high school since 1975. He would win an MVP award in 2004 with the Timberwolves. For his career, KG averaged 17.8 points, 10 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks per game.

Traits: Rebounding Scoring Machine

Best Attributes: Rebounding, Post Offense, Strength

Kevin Love was a more recent face of the franchise, serving as the trade piece that brought in some of the current core pieces to Minnesota. He was the 5th overall pick by the Grizzlies, but was immediately traded to the Timberwolves in a package that included fellow draftee O.J. Mayo. Love was a monster rebounding right from the start and would eventually win a title in Cleveland with LeBron James in 2016. For his career, he has averaged 18.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game so far.

Traits: Rebounding Scoring Machine

Best Stats: Stamina, Layups, Rebounding

“KAT” is the current star of the team and only 23 years old. He made an immediate splash on the NBA scene, winning Rookie of the Year and an All-Star award since. While he is only in his 4th season so far, it is clear that he will have a great career if he can stay healthy. With career averages of 21.6 points. 11.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, he is a stud in today’s league.

Jimmy Butler, SG/SF (90)

Age: 28

Height: 6’7”

Traits: Two-Way Star

Best Stats: Stamina, Lateral Quickness, Layups

Jimmy Butler really didn’t spend much time in Minnesota and certainly didn’t leave on good terms with the fans. After sending Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the rights to Lauri Markkanen to the Bulls, Minnesota was hoping to keep the star shooting guard for some time. Unfortunately, his bad attitude and trade demands forced the Timberwolves to ship him out after only one injury-shortened season (he played ten games for Minnesota this season prior to the trade). Last season, Butler average 21.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

Al Jefferson, C (88)

Age: 23

Height: 6’10”

Traits: Two-Way Center

Best Stats: Post Offense, Rebounding, Strength

Al Jefferson was a dominant big man that spent his entire career switching teams every few years. He did make a pit stop in Minnesota from 2007 to 2010, via trade with the Celtics in the Kevin Garnett deal. He was impressive right away and averaged a double-double almost every season with Minnesota. For his career, Jefferson averaged 15.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
