Restricted free agent Miles Plumlee will sign a four-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks in a deal worth $52 million.
The Bucks will now be paying four big men on the roster over $10 million, with Plumlee joining Greg Monroe, Jabari Parker and John Henson on the list.
It is a slightly curious move when considering the Bucks plans going forward, as recent draftee Thon Maker and new acquisition Mirza Teletovic also add to the mix. Hence creating an extremely crowded frontcourt in Milwaukee.
Plumlee averaged 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in last season, his first full year in Milwaukee.
Perhaps the reason for Plumlee’s signing was the impact that he made when on the court in 2015/16, where the team scored an average of 105.9 points per 100 possessions. This number increased after the All-Star break when the ‘Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo was unleashed at the point, a tactic that coach Jason Kidd confirmed will continue into the 2016/17 season.
