LeBron James signs a 3 year, $100 million contract

LeBron James has officially been rewarded, salary wise, by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James has officially been rewarded, salary wise, by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Many will say that LeBron has essentially been underpaid throughout his career, and those people would definitely be right. Today we can say that no longer. James signed a three-year, $100 million dollar contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This contract makes James the highest paid player in the NBA.

This is James’ first time at being the highest paid player in the NBA in his entire 14-year NBA career. This is pretty crazy because James has pretty much been the best overall player in the NBA since 2008. We all know about him taking a pay-cut to go to the Miami Heat to team up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. In four years he won two championships there. Then came back home and won “One for the Land” in 2016.

Now things have come full circle, and the Cavaliers organization has rewarded James and made him the highest paid player in league history. The Cavaliers get back to work at training camp in September and open the season against the New York Knicks at the end of October in Cleveland, Ohio. James will for sure celebrate his new contract for a few days. And then it is time to get back to work to defend their championship.
